My name is Courtney Watts, and I am a Savannah, Georgia–based textile artist. My work explores the relationship between creativity and healing through luxury craft techniques, expanding across embellished objects, immersive spaces, and interactive installations. Working with hand and machine embroidery, beading, and found objects, I transform familiar, pop-cultural symbols into richly crafted worlds that invite participation and close engagement.

My practice often centers on immersive environments that function as extensions of object-based works—ranging from illuminated crystal caves constructed from origami wax paper to embroidered and embellished wearable Band-Aids. I approach craft as both process and offering: a tactile method of nervous system regulation informed by research in neuroscience and art therapy. Shaped by my own healing journey, my work frames making as a form of creative medicine—an invitation that fosters repair, resilience, and communal connection through shared acts of creation.
